Our driving courses are intense, meaning you do all your driving lessons and your practical test in a relatively short period of time. However if an intense course is not your preference, you are in control of how you use your hours of driving. You can choose and tailor your course to suit your specific needs.
Here at The Drive Academy we have 3 overall types of courses which each have different hours available to learners. The learner choosing the course has to be honest with their own ability. Each of the courses available are described in detail on the courses section of our website.
We do allow lessons to be added to courses at a pro-rata rate. However we ask you to be realistic as to what date you have your practical test booked.
All courses come with the amount of hours driving that is stated on your booking confirmation. They include the same instructor throughout the duration of the course. You will use the same vehicle on your test also. Both your practical test and theory test, if needed are included in the booking price.
On every driving course 2 hours of your course will be reserved for the day of your test. Meaning a 25 hour course would include 23 hours of lessons. Leaving an hour before your test to get familiar near the test centre and an hour for the practical test itself.
Statistics show that practical test pass rates are higher for learners taking intensive driving course rather than simply starting driving lessons with an instructor without a test booked or a planned schedule. As they allow all levels of learners to absorb a lot more material in a shorter space of time.
Yes, absolutely. When booking one of our driving courses. We send you a “learner diary” this has all the dates and times of your lessons. You can book yourself or ask your allocated instructors advice. All driving hours on your course will be before your practical test. You are in control.
Passing can not be guaranteed by any course provider. No course provider can say this as it is not them taking the test! However our current pass rates are between 82% and 97% depending the course.
Yes of course! You can do your course in either a manual or automatic car. Please select the transmission when booking your course.
Yes of course! Our instructors will pick you up and drop you off at a location of your choice.
Our DVSA instructors will be happy to collect you or drop you off within the “catchment area” of the test centre where you will have your practical test. You can discuss this in further detail with ourselves or with your allocated instructor.
The prices of our intense driving courses vary depending mainly on one factor. Which is the amount of hours in the course.
We are here to get you driving having completed your practical test as quickly as possible. High on our priorities is also customer satisfaction.
You would be eligible for a full refund if:
•Failure to book your practical test within 15 working days of you booking.
•Failure to connect you with a driving instructor within a reasonable time for your lessons to be completed.
You are able to book by clicking the BOOK NOW button on our website. Simply choose your driving test centre and the course you want to do. Alternatively you can call us on 01392 241115 and an agent will happily take the booking over the phone and send all confirmations. We only accept payments by credit or debit card.
No unfortunately we do not accept installments at the moment.
All practical driving tests take place in the last 2 hours of any course time. You will be given a time, date and the name of the test centre upon booking your course with us. We will always book the test centre which is closer to you. Please note that practical tests can be up to 14 days after the date you have chosen when booking. If this is the case you will always be notified and given the option first.

The fast track department are working around the clock to get the earliest test dates. We are on stand by for test cancellations. We also swap around students tests already booked who are deemed not to be test ready yet.
Upon booking your course firstly you will get a booking confirmation. You will then be contacted by your instructor within 5 days and given a “learner diary”. This enables you to then block book all your hours of driving before your practical test
We take all complaints seriously. Before you make an official complaint please call us to try to resolve and rectify the issue. If you are still unsatisfied email us on learn@thedriveacademy.co.uk. You will receive an immediate response. After this one of our team of specially trained agents will contact you directly within 5 working days.
